Bacon - "Knödel" (Dumplings)
 Ingredients for 4 persons

  •  250 g of dry white bread
  •  40 g butter
  •  40 g bacon
  •  ¼ l milk
  •  2 eggs
  •  1 small onion
  •  chopped parsley
  •  flour as required
  •  salt

Dice the bread finely and lightly fry the onion in butter and add to the bread. Mix milk with the eggs, add parsley and salt and pour over the bread. Mix well and leave to rest for about half an hour.

Mix in the flour well, knead all the ingredients into a dough and with wet hands form round dumplings with a smooth surface and simmer approx. 20 minutes in boiling water.
