Apple fritters
 Ingredients for 6 persons

  •  ˝ l milk
  •  180 g flour
  •  2 eggs
  •  1 tbs. Sugar
  •  4 large apples
  •  a shot of rum
  •  a pinch of salt

Mix well the milk with the flour, then whisk in the eggs, sugar, salt and rum until the mixture drips lightly from a spoon. Leave the batter rest for 15 minutes or so, peel and core the apples and slice them into rings, dip in batter and fry in hot oil until golden.

Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve hot.

Serve with vanilla sauce.
