Winter on the sunny plateau is a unique nature spectacle; sometimes crisp and white with snow, and other times sunny and spring like.

The Geyrerhof is situated in the middle of this paradise. A starting point for walks and hikes, carriage trips or tobogganing. Watch the wildlife or have fun in the mountain huts.

We have the largest private cross-country ski track, over 75 hectares of land. All you can see are the surrounding mountains and the snow on the ground. A most fascinating view.

The only way to our hotel is along the snowy road weaving through the quiet countryside. In winter, a sparkling paradise.

Apart from the cross-country skiing experience, there is also plenty of opportunity for Alpine skiing on the Rittner Horn. An 8-seat cable car takes you from Pemmern (1530 m) to the Schwarzseespitze (2070 m) in only a few minutes. After leaving the Ritter-Horn house (2270 m) and before skiing down the pistes, admire the overwhelming panorama view of the Ortler in the west, the Dolomites in the east, the Stubaier and Zillertal Alps in the north and the Adamello in the south. Top quality skiing is guaranteed, as well as the possibility for ice skating and curling.

Active holidays in spring, summer and autumn

Geyrerhof not only offers a 360° panoramic view of the mountains, but also possibilities for an active holiday. Discover the 280 km of marked hiking paths around the plateau.

The theme paths caress your soul, and a stroll along the flower paths, wake the colours in your heart.

If your hiking shoes are too slow, change into your running shoes and run through the woods and fields. Or be even quicker, and jump on a bike and pedal along the paths to get new impressions. For those who love heights, view the world from above on a paragliding trip.

And then relax and gather strength at Geyrerhof. In the swimming pool or on horseback, whatever is best for your muscles. Socialise with other guests by having a game of tennis, or taking part in the Alpine hikes with the llamas.

For those who don't want energetic exercise, you can go fishing or take a trip on the cable car with a fascinating view of the area. The plateau is rich in history from the Neolithic Period to the present day. The many churches, castles, manor houses, cultural documents and traditions are proof of this, whereby the Geyrerhof is a part of this history.

And last but not least, the Ritten plateau has some of the most fascinating natural wonders, the Upland Moor and the Earth Pyramids, a geological peculiarity.
