At a certain time of year there is a touch of magic about Bolzano, when the streets in the medieval part of the town, the gothic facades, the glittering shops, the museums and churches become coloured with the warm lights of Christmas.
Each detail becomes transformed into emotions: the curious visitors swarming around the stalls of the Christmas market in Waltherplatz, the main square, the sound of traditional Christmas music emanating from the stage, the scent of Christmas biscuits and pastries from bakeries in the town centre. The name of this fairy tale is Christkindlmarkt. It is an event which the town wishes to celebrate together with visitors. |
